Approximately 50 leading agencies from around the globe coming to Atlanta
ATLANTA – April, 2015 – Cookerly Public Relations will serve as host agency for the 2015 Worldcom Public Relations Group Americas Region conference, October 14 to 16 at the Ritz Carlton Buckhead in Atlanta. Worldcom is the world’s leading partnership of independently-owned public relations firms, with more offices in more cities and countries than any multinational firm.
Worldcom partner firms gather twice a year to ensure each is utilizing the best and most up-to-date tools and practices to remain the leading public relations agency in their respective markets. Thus, it is appropriate that the theme of this conference is “Agencies That Lead,” creating the acronym “ATL,” the airport code – and commonly-used term – for Atlanta.
”This meeting brings together the strongest coalition of independent PR firms in this part of the world,” said Carol Cookerly, president of Cookerly Public Relations. “Our membership in the organization gives us, our clients and any potential clients the tools and resources to handle virtually any PR challenge, regardless of industry or geography.”
Cookerly was inducted into Worldcom in October 2013 as the global network’s Atlanta partner. Since then, the agency has been an active member of the organization, with senior team members chairing Worldcom’s healthcare practice group and serving on the Americas Region board of directors. With its commitment to the Worldcom mission and demonstrated leadership, Cookerly was asked to serve as host for the 2015 Americas Region Conference.
The annual Americas Region Conference is held each fall somewhere in North, Central or South America and brings together representatives from partner firms located in the Americas. In the spring, representatives from all Worldcom partner firms gather for an annual global meeting.
Established in 1988, Worldcom was formed so that the strongest, most capable independent public relations firms could serve national and multi-national clients while retaining the flexibility and client-service focus inherent in independent agencies. Through Worldcom, clients have on-demand access to in-depth communications expertise from professional public relations specialists who understand the language, culture and customs of the geographic arenas in which they operate.
