Agency recognizes exceptional work of two employees
(Fall 2012) Cookerly Public Relations (PR) named Chris Glazier senior account executive and Mamie Cargile the agency’s newest account executive. These promotions are representative of the agency’s commitment to the growth of its employees as strong leaders and communicators.
“In public relations, you must be able to communicate not only with the media, but also with colleagues, clients and business partners,” said Carol Cookerly, president of Cookerly PR. “In addition to delivering consistently excellent work as PR professionals, Chris and Mamie have shown themselves as role models to their colleagues.”
Glazier joined Cookerly PR in late 2010 as an assistant account executive. With a strong background in journalism, Glazier showed tremendous talent for developing and pitching compelling stories, securing media coverage at a local, regional and national level. His insight and project management skills were also key factors in the success of the Ready Georgia mobile app, which received more than 17,000 downloads in the first month.
Cookerly PR welcomed Cargile in 2011 following an internship with the agency. As an assistant account executive, Cargile worked on campaigns for clients in the healthcare, energy and retail industries. In 2012, Cargile assisted with the successful grand opening of Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Southeastern Regional Medical Center, and her keen insight into community relations has made her a powerful asset to the issues management team.
