Agency Promotes Top Performing Communicator
(Winter 2012) Cookerly Public Relations today announced the promotion of Kate Grusich to account supervisor. In this new role, Grusich will lead strategic and tactical planning, message development and media relations services for the agency’s diverse client base.
With more than a decade of experience in the communications industry, Grusich has led social media and media relations campaigns for clients across a variety of industries including government, public health and consumer products. She is responsible for some of the agency’s most prolific public relations programs, such as Ready Georgia, an emergency preparedness campaign administered by the Georgia Emergency Management Agency.
“Kate is a talented PR professional, and she has played a vital role in our team’s successes since she joined the firm last year,” said Tracy Paden, vice president at Cookerly. “I can always count on her to deliver a work product that is top notch, whether it is a press release, a media pitch or a Facebook status update. She consistently gets great results, and has proven to be a tremendous asset to Cookerly and our clients.”
Prior to joining Cookerly in 2011, Grusich spent more than four years as a communications and media relations specialist for an Atlanta-based global association management firm. Before transitioning to public relations, Grusich refined her communication skills as a journalist for print publications in Chicago and South Florida.
