Atlanta PR Agency to provide media relations for 2013 Annual Giving Campaign
(Winter 2013) The YMCA of Metro Atlanta kicked off the 2013 “Why It Matters” annual giving campaign today. Carol Cookerly, president of Cookerly Public Relations, will co-chair the organization’s effort to raise $2.7 million for the program. Gifts to the campaign will be used to provide YMCA scholarships to children, adults and families in need of financial assistance.
Cookerly Public Relations will provide media relations and communications support for the program. The agency is a long-time supporter of YMCA of Metro Atlanta. Carol Cookerly, president of Cookerly Public Relations, joined YMCA of Metro Atlanta’s board in 1996. Cookerly has chaired three previous campaigns, and her leadership has helped guide YMCA of Metro Atlanta’s strategic direction. In 2011, Cookerly received the Bransby Christian Leadership Award for her ongoing service.
