ATLANTA BUSINESS CHRONICLE – Last year, the Town at Trilith augmented neighboring film studio by adding two soundstages in what has become a 530,000-square-foot entertainment complex.
Trilith Live has given the Town at Trilith a source of business that doesn’t depend solely on big-budget movies. The venue’s soundstages have filled with game shows and concert rehearsals, and its visitors have booked thousands of hotel room nights along the GA-85 corridor.
A second phase opened this year, and Trilith Live began offering space for concerts, conventions and banquets, along with an outdoor plaza. It includes a 2,200-seat theater in addition to the two 25,000-square-foot soundstages for productions that need live audiences.
“We just hit 800 episodes of live audience TV shot here,” Matt McClain, Trilith Live’s general manager, said in an interview with Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Among the Game Show Network productions at Trilith were the shows “Flip Side” — hosted by Jaleel White, who played Steve Urkel on 1990s hit show “Family Matters” — and “The Perfect Line” — hosted by Deborah Norville, who anchored “Inside Edition” for 30 years.
