ATLANTA BUSINESS CHRONICLE – A landmark office building in the heart of Downtown Atlanta is on the verge of a major transformation.
The uppermost floors of the 52-story Georgia-Pacific Tower on Peachtree Street would be converted into 400 apartments — a prominent example of efforts to convert excess office space into more useful purposes such as housing.
Plans include roughly 125,000 square feet of entertainment, restaurant and retail space as well as the retention of 600,000 square feet of offices.
