Cookerly Joins Murphy-Harpst to Give Kids a Chance

Agency to provide public relations and marketing support

(ATLANTA – January 25, 2010) Cookerly Public Relations welcomes Murphy-Harpst Children’s Centers, a nonprofit organization that provides behavioral healthcare, educational, preventive and intervention services to severely abused children, as its newest pro-bono client. Created in 1914, Murphy-Harpst serves children that have been rescued from some of the most desperate domestic situations imaginable and provides the intense therapy they need in order to function in everyday life.

“What people don’t know is that Murphy-Harpst’s national accreditation ratings place its quality of services in the top ten percent of organizations of its kind, but it is deeply in need of financial resources to pull these kids through,” said Carol Cookerly, Cookerly Public Relations president. “Our job will be to make Murphy-Harpst a known quantity and create a feeling of satisfaction among donors because their gifts have a direct benefit for young people who have seen the worst of the human condition.”

Cookerly will assist Murphy-Harpst with development of a strategic communications plan to build awareness around the organization’s quality care and financial needs. Services will include branding, media outreach, marketing and event promotion.
